Anti Microbial Cable
What Are Anti Microbial Cables?
Anti microbial cable is treated with an anti microbial agent that prevents the growth of bacteria, mold, and other micro organisms on the surface of the cable. Killing 99.99% of germs, viruses and bacteria, including MRSA and E.coli.
There are several different types of anti microbial agents that can be used to treat cables, including silver-based compounds, copper-based compounds, and biocides. The anti microbial agent is added to the sheathing and/or insulation during the manufacturing process.
The additive does not effect the mechanical properties of the cable in any way. This means that our anti microbial cable is available in many configurations and colours. These cables can also be easily coiled if required.

When / Where To Use Anti Microbial Cables?
Anti microbial cable is a vital component in a wide range of applications where the presence of bacteria, mold, or other micro organisms could be a concern.
These cables help to reduce the risk of infection and ensure that electrical systems remain clean and safe to use.
Unsurprisingly these cables are typically used in hospitals and medical equipment/furniture, laboratories, and other clean environments.
